Compressed knitted mesh is able to operate in areas of high temperatures that exceed the range of most elastomers offering superior resiliency and dampening qualities for NVH applications. Historically, heat shield isolator manufacturers would mechanically fasten two washers to each end of a knitted mesh eyelet in order to secure it to the heatshield. Many manufacturers experienced significant problems with these parts falling off in transit, which could erode production efficiency and increase scrap.
Our patented design forms the knitted mesh to the heat shield, making it very hard to remove so that the parts arrive at the place of final assembly intact and ready for use. This level of conformity helps reduce scrap and facilitates automation for our clients and their customers in turn.
